Q: How do I setup apple dvd drive on el captain - Mac Book Pro Retina!

My mac book pro retina will not recognize usb apple dvd drive, unit works great on my mac book air. Not sure what the issue is, can any one assist me??

Time Capsule 802.11n (3rd Gen), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Hi,

Open the Finder.

From the Finder menu bar click Finder > Preferences then select the General tab.

Make sure External disks is selected.
