Q: trying to update my locked apple iPad 2.  received error 1671. what do i do?

My iPad 2 is locked from trying to enter incorrect password.  I use this in my bakery and someone must have been playing with it.  Now I've run out of times to try and it is locked.  I tried to erase everything and, when I did I received error 1671. Help.

    Hello SGJ663,

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your iPad. The good news is that there is a solution to resolve your issue. In the event that you have locked your iPad from incorrectly inputting the password six times, you will have to connect your iPad to your Mac or PC and do a full restore from iTunes.

Please follow the instructions found at the following link.

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306

That support article will provide you all of the information you will need to wipe your iPad and regain access. If you have already gone through the process described by the aforementioned article, please schedule an appointment with your local Genius Bar so that you can receive additional assistance. To find an Apple retail store in your area, please visit http://www.apple.com/retail/ and search for the nearest retail store. Once you have completed the search, review the list provided in order to find the closest store. From there, select a store and you will be taken to the page for said store where you will be able to make a reservation with the Genius Bar.

Best of luck with regaining access to your iPad.

Common causes of that error are an out dated version of iTunes on your computer or anti-virus software on your computer. Check to make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and that you've disabled any anti-virus software on your computer.
