Q: Many apps suddenly don't launch!!!

Apple installed some update of El Capitach, which I did not want... With any notification about installation - this is the first main thing... but OK... NOW MANY MANY apps can't run, which I need in my day routine work!!! This is insane. I can't run iTunes, Quicktime7, anything from Adobe, Logic Pro, nothing what I use daily... There is written, that this update 10.11.5. fixes many problems - maybe, but it cases one huge problem like I never seen before. Please give back the same system as I was working on, It was fine for me. I don't want new one, untill I read about it FROM USERS, that it's fine and OK. I feel bullied to use something, what I did't ask for and I feel bilked, because I can't use this super-fixed update! Thank you.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities

First of all, there are some settings you can change in order to let you install updates manually. You can find them in System Preferences -> App Store, so it's worth having a look there to prevent this from happening again in the future.

Then, from what you say it looks like the update damaged OS X, so the first thing I suggest you to do is to reinstall OS X 10.11.5 with the Combo installer -> https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1876

If you just want to go back to the previous OS X version you had (you shouldn't), the only way to do this is by restoring a backup you made before installing OS X 10.11.5. If you have one, start up your Mac while holding down Command and R keys, plug the external drive with the backup and choose the option to restore a Time Machine backup.

Please launch the Console application in any one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages

from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

              View ▹ Show Log List

from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

Some private information, such as your name or email address, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the log extract, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "The message contains invalid characters." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the text on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please don't select Private from the Paste Exposure menu on the page, because then no one but you will be able to see it.

Do the apps launch properly when you are logged in to a different user account?

To open an unidentified app first of all it is downloaded in download folder .

Then drag and drop in application folder . do a right click on that app and open it .

In the last delete the app from download folder .

An apple article is there you can follow it : OS X Yosemite: Open an app from an unidentified developer

Ok, I will try this. I did NOT found ANY settings in AppStore, maybe I am stupid, but where can I find it? Is it hidden, or? I have NO option to check / uncheck something like an automatic / manual updates... All this problem, this is like you buy luxury car and suddenly the engine don't launch, because you were in servis for pneu change...  It is rude, that a company like Apple is counting huge amount of money for everything and suddenly you download an update from THEIR SUPERSECURED AppStore and it damages your system...??? I know, there are ways, how to save it, how to do it better, what to do (what I am asking for), but I have expectations! This is frustrating, children blames me and my MBP with their slow 300$ PC laptops lol Now I am downloading the updater... So hope it will work. Any ideas, if not???

Take 60 seconds to make one, log in, try the apps, and report back with the results.

Trying misbehaving apps in a different user account is a basic troubleshooting step.

To change the App Store automatic downloads/installation, go to System Preferences/App Store.
