Jun 12, 2016 10:06 AM in response to denis261by ManSinha,That phone is useless to you - what you are seeing is the Activation lock which is an anti theft mechanism
Unless the original owner releases that lock - you will not be able to use it
You may want to send it back and ask that it be turned in locally as the person who lost it may be looking for it

Jun 12, 2016 10:10 AM in response to denis261by Allan Eckert,Without help from the previous owner there is no way you are going to defeat the Activation Lock. The Activation Lock is a method Apple implement to prevent use of their device that are obtained improperly.

Jun 12, 2016 10:20 AM in response to denis261by Briansyddall,Hi
Sorry but you can never use an iPhone that locked to an unknown apple ID
Nobody can unlock only the owner who knows the apple ID .
Cheers

Jun 12, 2016 10:55 AM in response to denis261by roaminggnome,The phone doe snot belong to you.
Your father took someone else property and gave it to you. Not good.
You should get the phone back to the local police where your father found it so that the rightful owners may claim it.\
You have no right to that phone.
