Q: My photo stream - iPhone vs iMac
On my iPhone (9.3.2) under Photos > My Photo Stream it says I have 846 photos. However when I look on my iMac (10.11.5) Photos > my photo stream - it says I have only 50 photos. All were taken on my iPhone or my wife's iPhone. Why wouldn't all of them be on my iMac?
I'd like my iMac to be the repository / parking place for my photos. Its backup up with Time Machine and by internet.
FYI I have too may photos to use the iCloud storage.
My goal is to get free up space on my phone but keep the photos on my iMac.
thanks

MyPhotoStream only transfers new photos within the last 30 days - only iCloud Photo Library does everything (and you can have 1 TB of storage so I doubt that yoru library it too large - maybe you simply choose not to use ICPL)
