Q: Apple Deleted my Apple ID!

Last night I got an email saying my iCloud storage was full, which I thought was weird because I had a few GBs left. So I go into my iCloud to check the storage and buy more space, and it asks me to enter my password to verify. I did, and it said there was an issue verifying my account. So I thought maybe there was a glitch so I tried signing out of my iCloud and tried signing back in. It said my Apple ID account was disabled for security reasons. WHAT?! So I go to the iforgot page that it told me to go to to unlock my account and I typed in my Apple ID and it said that Apple ID did not exist! I am so upset because I had almost 7000 pictures and videos on my phone. But what's confusing is, I think I may have two Apple IDs that were connected because when I first made my Apple ID the email that I used is no longer in service so I changed the email on that ID to my current email, but on my account page on my phone it still displayed my old email address (which i guess is the actual Apple ID username?) So I tried signing into my iCloud.com account with my newer email and all my photos were still there! So I signed into icloud on my phone with the new email (which I guess is the second Apple ID) and only 900 pictures were there. I'm so frustrated, I just want to know what happened to my original Apple ID with all my photos and why it says that the account is disabled but won't even let me unlock it. Please help someone!

It likely disabled it because of too many failed attempts to log in.

 

You may have entered the ID incorrectly or it was never verified to begin with.

 

You may be able to find your Apple ID at Look up your old and forgotten Apple ID

    Apple ID's are never deleted, you can't even ask Apple to delete your ID.

    Okay then what I'm asking is why did it "disable my account for security reasons" but then tell me the Apple ID didn't exist when I followed the link it gave me to unlock it?

    I mean this all happened before I went to go login to anything because I got the email saying my iCloud storage was full, which it wasn't. I logged in once and it couldn't do it. And searching for my Apple ID was one of the many things I tried when I tried to get it back. It says it doesn't exist.

    Go to https://iforgot.apple.com/. Type in your full email address including the @email.com* into the field and follow the next steps to get your account back in order.

    If you found that your iCloud account was not full, the email message you received may not have even been from Apple, but instead from a phishing attempt to gain access to your account. These are emails that identify as being from Apple in order to trick you into providing personal information to them so they can gain access to your account. These are not sent from Apple, but they are meant to look like they were. Even the links that you click on will look like Apple websites.     It looked like a pretty legit email, and I went straight into my settings to check my storage space so I didn't follow any of the links in the email. Thanks for the info though- you never think about getting phished by "Apple". I don't think this was the case with my situation though.
