Q: Authorise Loop

When Syncing, I get a message 'Please authorise this computer'. So I authorise my PC, then I get a message 'Please authorise this computer' etc etc etc

My PC NEVER gets authorised.

Plus it says I've authorised 3 out of 5 computers. I have and only EVER have had ONE PC.

Does anyone know how to stop this loop?

iPhone 4, Windows 10

    Hello BigDingus!

I know how important it is to have iTunes syncing your iPhone 4 properly. First, please be sure you are signed into the same Apple ID in iTunes as the one you are using for the purchases on the iPhone. For the issue with the computers needing to be deauthorized, check out this article: Deauthorize your computer using iTunes

    Deauthorize all computers

If you need to deauthorize your computer but you can't access it, you need to deauthorize all computers. This option is available after you authorize 2 computers using your Apple ID. You can deauthorize all computers once per year.

You should deauthorize all computers if:

    • Your computer doesn't work anymore.
    • You sold or gave away a computer and didn't deauthorize it first.

    To deauthorize all computers:

Click to open iTunes and sign in to your Account Information page, or use these steps:

    1. Open iTunes.
    2. If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID.
    3. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account.

If you’re using Windows and can’t see the menu bar, learn how to turn it on.
    4. Enter your password, then press the Return or Enter key on your keyboard, or click View Account.

    On the Account Information page:

Scroll to the Apple ID Summary section. To the right of Computer Authorizations, click Deauthorize All.

The Deauthorize All button appears only if you have more than 2 authorized computers. If you don't see the Deauthorize All button, that means that you only have one authorized computer.

When you deauthorize all, you don't lose content

When you deauthorize a single computer, you don't lose content. The same applies to if you choose to deauthorize all computers. You just won't be able to access the content that you bought from iTunes on those computers until you reauthorize them. You need to have the computer to reauthorize it.

    After you deauthorize

Reauthorize each computer that you want to use with iTunes:

    1. Open iTunes.
    2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > Authorizations > Authorize This Computer.
If you’re using Windows and can’t see the menu bar, learn how to turn it on.
    3. Enter your Apple ID and password.
    4. Click Authorize.

Once those steps are done and you reauthorize the one computer you're using, as long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID, you should be all set!

    Cheers!

I've tried the solution and it seems to have done the job, thanks.
