May 24, 2016 8:22 PM in response to reactionsby carbonargon,Same issue! This is the video that is similar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37kEMEmA5jo
I periodically have to "press the screen" near the top speaker, so it makes me think it's a connection issue
This sounds like a bad batch.
I'm also out of warranty and this sounds like we do need a class action otherwise Apple will not care
EDIT: To add a few more details, I've done a factory reset already which seemed to helped for 30 minutes. Then back to the intermittent issue before I found the "workaround"

Jun 8, 2016 1:10 AM in response to essamfromlondonby Bmack123,I came to this forum with the exact same problem. Phone freezing and won't unlock and then when it does it shakes and opens and closes apps randomly. called my provider and out of warranty, was about to do a software update and then read that a screen protector can play havoc with the sensors on the front. Once i removed my own protector, bang, everything working fine again. Whilst sadly this may not be the solution to everyone's faulots on this forum it may be for a few of you so I thought I'd share. Good luck

Jun 8, 2016 9:41 AM in response to planetzincby usernameguy111,Are you going to follow through on this because it seems a lot of people are having similar problems? I would like to join in and help. Currently experiencing the same issue and the same problems with Apple Support.

Jun 8, 2016 9:48 AM in response to essamfromlondonby usernameguy111,I had the same problem too. Removed the screen protector and it still was not fixed so I took it to my local Apple Store. They told me it is a KNOWN hardware problem that Apple is refusing to address and that as the consumer I did nothing wrong to cause this but will have to pay hundreds to fix Apple's quality problems. I think some sort of class action is necessary as iPhones continue to age and more and more people will be experiencing this problem after the first year of ownership. Especially if Apple has told their stores this is a KNOWN quality problem they are refusing to take ownership of or recall. I've never felt so conned in my life, as I'm sure many of you are feeling.

Jun 8, 2016 10:29 AM in response to essamfromlondonby Dadtwothree,Same issue here. Former, proud owner of a iPhone 6plus 128g. I hate this thing now after spending big money on it.
It started to flicker just 2 weeks after the warranty ended. Apple support helped me thru a couple different factory resets which were very difficult due to the screen being none responsive most of the time. I find a bit of pressure on the top left corner gives me a few moments of the phone working. My phone has spent it's entire life in an expensive Otter Box - no drops or water damage. I planned on having the phone for at least 2 years given how much it cost me.
I refuse to spend anymore money on Apple until this is resolved. I'll buy a cheap Android before I double-down on a replacement.
It's shameful that they won't protect their loyal customers and stand behind their products. Count me in on any Class Action lawsuit if Apple will not be honorable and correct their defective phones.

Jun 8, 2016 10:50 AM in response to Dadtwothreeby reactions,The Apple Store will not do anything for you unless you beg on the phone.
They are completely aware of this issue btw. They know the tricks to get the phone working.

Jun 14, 2016 5:52 AM in response to essamfromlondonby TimFanning,Imy in the same boat. Losing trust in this brand really fast. Especially now that I see these reviews reported this happening before I made my purchase. Their resolve was for me to buy a new phone. I've had it for just over a year. I asked the girl on the phone if she would shell out $1,000 to a company who knowingly sold her trash for $1000 before and she said no.

Jun 14, 2016 6:09 AM in response to essamfromlondonby knarf112233,I fixed mine by tightening some screws in the phone.

Jun 14, 2016 6:19 AM in response to knarf112233by Bmack123,I posted before about removing screen protector and this problem came back. I took it into a high street phone repair shop and for £10 they took it apart and tightened up the screws. DONT do this if your still under warranty as it invalidates it. But my phone is out of warranty and apple were quotin me £80 to get it fixed. Outrageous when you consider this is clearly a fault with their product. Hope this helps. Good luck -
Jun 14, 2016 6:32 AM in response to planetzincby TimFanning,I'm with you. The hourly employee told me she has seen this again and again and the only thing I can do is raise my voice loud enough so hopefully someone hears me at "Apple Care". I run a restaurant in town and I think I'll just place it on the tables of my regulars and show them how it likes to FaceTime people and open apps, find my location, text people, etc. on its own. I shot a video of it and I'm negotiating with a few of those hot girls on instagram who have a million followers to see if they will post my video. The phone is junk. I can't stomach paying another $1,000 for someone to tell me they are "pretty" firm on their one year warranty. After reading these posts, they knew they were selling me junk when I bought it and they do nothing.

Jun 14, 2016 6:52 AM in response to Bmack123by knarf112233,Worked for me! I ordered some repair tools and did it myself. Cost was $18 (US) for the tools plus about 15 minutes work.
