    That's a great question, humboldt420. I've lost precious photos from personal devices before because I didn't have the information I needed to keep them safe and accessible. I'm glad you've reached out for help with this!

     

    If your iPhone and MacBook Air are up to date, there are options as to where you can save your photos. This article covers not only importing them to your MacBook Air, but also using iCloud to share your photos across your devices: Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch 

     

    If you're more comfortable keeping them safely on your Mac, just click on "Import to your Mac".
