Q: Problem with HBO Go App on Iphone 6S Plus
I am unable to play a video on the HBO Go app. Instead i get "video error, operation cancelled." I contacted HBO support and they said they were unable to duplicate my problem on their end and therefore it must be a problem with either my phone or apple. I have an iphone 6S plus.
I have tried the usual things, rebooting my phone. deleting the app and re-installing, nothing works. All other apps play videos fine (i.e. CBS, ABC, Comedy Central), so its not a problem with insufficient wifi power or my phone provider. I am able to play HBO videos on my computer, so my internet provider account doesn't appear to be the problem either.
Any suggestions?

Have you also attempted watching your content while on another WiFi signal? Have you reset your network settings? I own this same iPhone with the same app and while running on the same iOS 9.3.2, I am not experiencing the issue you are describing, although I have experienced it in the past in a singular occasion. If none of these work to get you moving in the right direction to resolving this, you could still go so far as to load a clean install of the OS onto your iPhone. I would recommend that you backup before doing this, but restore your iPhone to factory settings and do not restore your backup so you can test the service when your iPhone is free of any adjustments, settings, or software. If the issue continues, I would potentially look at the router settings.
