Q: I purchased Quicktime 7 a couple of years back. I now need it on my new OS.

I purchased Quicktime 7 a couple of years back. I now need it on my new OS. I cannot find of how to reinstall it. When I hit the export button, it promps a "Buy Now" button. When I hit it, I get sent to a support page.

Install the free QuickTime 7 player if needed, open it, choose Registration from the QuickTime Player 7 menu, and put your name and QuickTime Pro key into the dialog box.

I do not have a key. If I purchased it already, no matter how long ago, I should be able to get it back.

The Apple Store only holds your downloadable software history for 18 months. If you didn't keep a copy of the email they sent or wrote the serial on a piece of paper then there is no way to recover it.
Apple no longer sells the Pro upgrade to QuickTime Player 7.
