Q: Hello.. MacBook Pro 2007/8 running OS 10.7.5. image/movie posterization
Hello.. MacBook Pro 2007/8 running OS 10.7.5.
Everything on the fairly new hard drive is running healthily.. Desktop and Finder/opening text documents/email/online working/opening all programmes.. all working smoothly as before this current problem arose.
The only problem is that all images, whether stills opened in Preview, or movies opened in Quicktime, or desktop pictures and even live images in Skype… have suddenly become - the best way I can describe it is - 'posterized' That is to say all black/shadow areas in the images movies are showing as a fluctuating crimson red.
There is absolutely no problem opening the movies or images, and movie sound tracks/skype audio are not in any way affected. I suspect a hardware problem but could anyone suggest what it might be? Thanks for any help BC
