Q: Only some live photos move older iPad

     Hello,

I am experiencing a perplexing issue with several devices I have within my family:

My wife and I both have iPhone 6s, thus we can take "live" photos

I have an older iPad 2 which is associated to my wife's account.  When she takes a picture and the picture syncs to the "main" photos section ("moments" or "collections" is another way I might describe this), the live pictures "move" on the iPad 2.  However, in texts, or in shared streams, they do not.  So this iPad can see some live photos moving, but not all.

I am taking pictures with my own iPhone 6s, with the "live" function.  My mother and father in law have iPhone 6 pluses.  They are in a shared stream that I created.  One of them has their live photos "move," the other does not!  I bought these phones the same day, and they are both running the same iOS right now, fully updated to 9.3.2

I have searched Google and this forum extensively and can't find anybody having this problem, let alone with a solution.  What's more apple support itself over the phone couldn't help, I spoke with a "senior" advisor.  The most perplexing is the ipad2 as some of the photos only are live.

My guess is that there is some way the shared vs. synced (the ones in "moments/collections" ) files are handled and then some nuance of each device's implementation of 9.3.2 is in play here, basically Apple didn't allow the shared to move for the older devices.

Would greatly appreciate any advice here, hopefully to solve the problem.  My in-laws, who are divorced, are on my back as to why one has the "moving" pics, and the other doesn't!

Many thanks for anybody's time responding to this.

iOS 9.3.2
