Q: Impossible to remove album rating

Hi,

Since iTunes 12.4 simply removed a lot of buttons and navigation options and simply put them in the navigation menu I am not able to remove the greyed out album ratings.

In the title view there used to be the album rating next to the cover. This is not there anymore. I can show the album rating as a column, but this is not editable.

If I use album view there are no album AND track ratings anymore. And also no possibilty to show / change them.

Can anyone please help?

Kind regards

    Hello!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I know it's important to have iTunes working the way you'd expect, so I'll be happy to give you some direction to help with this.

Looking through this myself, it seems that the ratings are only available in song view, and even then that column has to be enabled.

Please ensure you've updated iTunes to the latest version, and you will instead see the heart to "love" an album or song:

Get the latest version of iTunes

    Cheers!

You can rate albums in the Songs view if you enable album artwork and make the artwork column wide enough to show the rating alongside the artwork.  To remove the rating click just to the left of the first star. The Album Rating column itself can only be used to review the value, not set it.
