Q: iTunes quits playing movies

Ever since later updates in Win 7 and now into 10 my iTunes stops two or three times when playing movies. Any ideas beyond updating everything, which I do.

iTunes, Windows 10

    Hi there TASMART,

Thanks for coming to us in the Apple Support Communities. I know that it's important to actually be able to watch and enjoy the media you pay for without it skipping, so I'm happy to provide you with some resources to help you out with this.

We actually offer an alternate download of iTunes that is intended for some 64-bit installations of Windows on computers with older video cards. While I don't know the model of your video card, you may still find that this will help:

Download iTunes 12.4.1 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards)

After looking into this further, I've also found that if you continue to experience issues, you may want to look into your audio playback settings to ensure you have a bitrate that works for your sound card. You can find more about the iTunes playback settings here:

Have a great rest of your day!

Howdy!  I've got a similar issue, though it only seems to occur when I'm playing a movie in full-screen.  After approximately 30-45 seconds of playback, the screen will flash and stop playing the movie, coming out of full-screen in the process.  Audio settings match, all drivers and software are up-to-date, so I'm unsure as to what may be causing this.  I've got an Nvidia 880m in my machine, and all other specs are above the reqs for HD playback, etc.  Tried a repair/reinstall with the same results.  Any thoughts?
