Q: privacy for hospitals
I work in a hospital setting. Our Hospital corporation prefers blackberry products because they claim they are more secure. We are in transition to a new computer system, hospital wide. This system endorses apple products. Most clinicians here prefer apple products. So there is a big debate over the security aspect. The hospital claims that blackberry is more secure, for patient information to be passed along. I am not so sure that is true.
Does anyone have any similar experiences?

To evaluate any system’s security and protections of privacy and confidentiality, in addition to shared user experiences, you may want to research and understand how the system is designed and deployed, real world examples in use, and what standards to follow.
