Q: Apple Support in Sri Lanka

I find it frustrating that Apple still does not have any support options (other than Authorised Resellers) for customers in Sri Lanka. Hopefully if I can attract enough attention to this Discussion thread I believe Apple would take notice?

I really do not want to trust the Authorised Resellers here with my support requests, simply because of their substandard knowledge. I've had bad experiences. If only Apple could have phone support for Sri Lanka, or at least an online space.

I know there have been some advances in many other countries in APAC, I think it's time that Apple gave us a little bit more attention.

We here are all users and Apple's participation here is forum moderation (no "retail" or "support")

The best venue for your suggestions is Feedback - Apple Store - Apple I would think

I am not sure that this one would address your concerns, but may be Apple Support Feedback

I have tried Apple Support Feedback as well to no avail. Store Feedback is no good. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions.

you would NEVER "hear" anything from the Feedbacks - Ever. Not how it works. Think of it as a "Suggestion Box" by the water cooler at work. Stuff would just "happen" anyway. Apple NEVER announces anything without Huge Fanfare.

You in Sri Lanka MAY benefit from Apple's push corporately into India == Google the news about it = a BIG DEAL

When you tried to contact an authorized Apple presence in Sri Lanka for Support,

did you go through the Apple Support site said to represent Sri Lanka from here?

    • Choose your country or region - Apple Support:

    https://www.apple.com/support/country/

    https://www.apple.com/lk/support/

Some regions and countries do not yet have an in-country official Apple presence,

instead they rely on authorized representative independent business relationships

for the sales, service, training and consulting aspects in those locations.

Does this link give you options in your area? (some may be limited or redirect)

    https://getsupport.apple.com/

Outside of your region or country, other independent authorized Apple service

repair and support businesses may be able to help; if not for the distances &/or

other costs (involving product shipping, customs, fees, tariff, tax, & etc) accrued.

You may contact other independent Apple related businesses in another country

to see if there are any restrictions on their doing business or helping you there.

    • Apple - Legal - Sales and Support:

    https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/

(Some products have regional or country limits per legal agreement, so those may

be of consequence depending on the product &/or service, support, etc you seek.)

Sorry to not be of much help in this matter. Most replies here are by fellow product

users and not representative of Apple; this is a peer-to-peer user discussions site.

    In any event...

    Good luck & happy computing!
