Q: How can I manage my storage without having to pay?

Okay Hi everyone,

This is my first time writing on here so please be nice!

My problem is this, my iPod touch (version 9.3.2) needs to be backed up. My Storage plan was the 5GB (free) and I did have lots of data- but deleted some apps and the data in 'Manage Storage'. So currently I now have in storage 31.1GB and have used 25.1GB. However on my ICLOUD storage it says I have 77.3MG available, however for my total storage it says 5.0GB.

Now the question that I'm trying to ask here is- I've kept the apps and data that I want (such as stuff for my photography and stories etc.) but it is still moaning at upgrading and stuff.  I would love to be able to copy all the data from my ICLOUD and put it on a storage device like a disk or USB- something like that so it's all saved, and then delete the stuff so it can be freed up. The problem is though, when I went to look at how to copy stuff- it said you need to upgrade the storage plan. Why would I upgrade to THEN downgrade if that makes sense? If I had to I would pick the 79p option- but I only pay for my iPod using gift cards as I don't want my card details on it. And I'd be worried in-case some reason my bank account ran out but it still billed me. I am getting super anxious about it and I heard apple after so many days will delete the stuff if not backed up. I really need help and it's causing me to really suffer as I have anxiety issues.

Any help would be GREAT and I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me. I'm only seventeen you see and I have ASD which causes me to freak out at money stuff so you can imagine the damage it's doing to me! I love my iPod and can't live without it but this hassle is causing me to grow a hatred for it. Any ideas?

Thanks again!

Love Cara
