Jun 18, 2016 8:37 AM in response to Lannyby FrRon,Lanny, Thanks; I'd done that before asking for help, and it didn't seem to 'train' Mail for that Sender. I'd also added the Sender to my Contacts and invoked the Rules but that didn't solve the problem. Greatly appreciate your help.

Jun 18, 2016 8:41 AM in response to Lannyby FrRon,This is using the Apple client on Mac OS; I have a Me.com account that Mail handles, though this particular behavior is with one of my Gmail accounts.

Jun 18, 2016 8:55 AM in response to FrRonby Lanny,A Me.com is the same thing as an iCloud account. If that is what you are using, you should uncheck the "Enable junk mail filtering," option and just rely on relocating the mail to appropriate baskets.
However, I don't use GMail with Mail, even though I have a GMail account, because GMail uses a nonstandard IMAP implementation, and they mine your data.

Jun 18, 2016 8:51 AM in response to Lannyby FrRon,Understand on Me.com, though will uncheck Enable; good idea!
Didn't know about the nonstandard IMAP, but those are good points. Implicitly I knew they mine you, 'cause of the ads that magically appear when you mention a product or do a search. However, it's a good reason to review what I'm doing on that. Thanks so much for those thoughts.

Jun 18, 2016 8:59 AM in response to FrRonby Eric Root,If the e-mails aren't brown/tan, then your e-mail provider may have marked them as junk, which would explain why the not junk option isn't there. Try going to the e-mail provider's website to see if you can adjust the junk settings there.
