Q: I have an iPhone 6 and cannot transfer my recent videos and photos to my MacBook Pro
I have a MacBook Pro and am having trouble transferring photos and videos from my iPhone 6 to the computer.

You can open up Spotlight search on your Mac and open Image Capture. From here, select your iPhone from the left sidebar and then you can select the photos/videos you desire to transfer. Down below, you will find a drop down option to select the destination.
If this still does not resolve your issue, refer to iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support as it is likely that your iPhone settings in Settings>iCloud>Photos are set to Optimize iPhone Storage.
Where do I see photos and videos in iCloud Photo Library?
You can access your photos and videos in the Photos app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV (4th generation). You can also use the iCloud.com Photos app.
