Q: I have plug adapters and a power converter but was told by someone who travels internationally that the block does the power conversion for me.  I want to ensure I do not blow out my phone.  Do I use the power converter to charge my iphone and apple

I have plug adapters and a power converter for International travel.  I was told by someone who travels often the converter is not needed for apple products.  I do not want to ruin my phone or watch - do I use my power converter?

If you are using the Apple supplied power adapter, you will simply need a plug adapter to use in other countries. The power adapter can be used with voltages between 100-240 Volts AC @ 50-60hZ

The charger for the iPhone will operate on 100-240 Volts  and 50/60 Hz automatically, so it will work just fine anywhere in the world. A power converter is not needed. All that is needed is a plug adapter, so that you can connect the charger to the local AC wall jack.
