Why can't I play back my voice memos over a connected bluetooth device?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.3.2

Hi Jcnar,

 

No, only idea I have is to attached the Voice Memo to a Note via "Add to Note". It's just a workaround, but it worked for me. If you managed to use your Bose speaker with other apps, Notes might work as well.

 

I'm new on Iphone, so I can't compare with previous versions, looks like a bug to me as is the only case where it doesn't work, but I'm not experience enough with Iphone to do a proper judgement.

    The OP did not have the ability to change output sources, so their problem was different.

    Hi josepBCn,

    The voice memo on my iphone doesn't give me ability to change to the bose speaker, and I can't diagnose if the problem is an IOS bug. Neither have I had the time to go to the Apple Store with my speaker to test it.. I do think it's a bug though, because I remember been able to perform this function before with my previous iPhone. Any other ideas?

    Hi JosepBcn,

    thank you for the suggestion, it worked! I can't believe that Apple designed the voice memo not to work over a bluetooth device, or not been able record from a browser or a conversation. Well,  at least I'm glad to be able to listen to my French classes and other music memos over my bose speaker! Thanks for the help!
