Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I know it's important to be able to keep in touch with friends and family using iMessage, so I'm happy to provide you with some help to get your messages to actually send again.
To start, check out some of the troubleshooting tips suggested in this article:
If you can‘t send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you continue to have issues after going through those preliminary steps, then let's have you sign out of iMessage and back in again:
- Open Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
- Tap on your Apple ID at the top
- Tap Sign out
- Restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Open Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
- Sign into your Apple ID at the top
This will make refresh your iPhone's connection to iMessage and should get you back on track.
