Q: Trust Windows?
I was planning on downloading Windows on my Mac from parallels so I can down load some games that are not available for OS X, so I was wondering if I should trust parallels? Has anyone downloaded it from them?

Parallels is probably one of the best virtualization applications for Mac, so it's OK to use it. You should also consider VMware Fusion or VirtualBox (this one is free).
However, if you want to use Windows to play games, I suggest you to install Windows using Boot Camp instead. Boot Camp lets you install Windows on a separate partition, so your Mac will work like any other PC while you're in Windows and you'll get the best performance possible. Have a look -> How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support
