Q: imail for el capitan cannot send email

I am using MacBook pro  OS x el capitan 10.11.5   Imail for my comcast account has been working fine up until yesterday. Nothing has changed in any settings. I have used every suggestion from apple support but I cannot send email. The account info is grayed and I can't edit. The port was 587 I think, smpt.comcast.net address. Please help.
