Q: How do I download pictures from the iCloud

Am I correct in assuming you want to download your pictures to your computer?

Before we can answer, we need to know if you're on Mac, or PC. If you're on Mac, are you using Photos v. 1.5?

I need to download some pictures from iCloud how do I do it?

If your Photos are in iCloud Photo Library, you can download them to a computer using the web interface at www.icloud.com. Sign into www.icloud.com and launch the Photos.app. Open the album or Moment with your photos, select the photos you want and click the download button.

If you are on a Mac, have enough storage, and want to download all photos, you can use the Photos.app on the Mac. If the Mac is already syncing with iCloud Photo Library, your photos will already be in your Photos Library. If not, create a new, empty Photos Library and make it your iCloud Photo Library.  All photos from iCloud will download to your Mac.
