BTW, Apple does not force updates on anyone. If an update was installed on your computer automatically, it's likely that's how your preferences are set. Please review your Mac App Store settings.

Jun 21, 2016 3:48 PM in response to Ryszby blurtati0n,this update took for ever to install and was recommended but optional.a couple of months back apple did sent out a creeper silent update and it knocked out my ethernet connection. i downloaded the fix from some site that was being offered here on this forum.today i lost connection as i always do daily on my mac mini.apple tech support was never able to fix this problem up until i ran out of warranty so the problem persists.when i tried to boot up again nothing happened just like months ago . i used the same download i still have on my flash drive and i was able to get back on line even though this time it showed i was connected. i have done this twice today until the third time was a charm.i thought maybe this capitan update included that bad update which would activate only upon booting up.
