Q: Media keys on iTunes 12.2.2.25 don't work

Hi, I have always used iTunes as my default media player, but since last update (12.2.2.25) it just doesn't recognize the commands on my keyboard (Logitech K800) or even my mouse (Logitech Performance MX). Both of them are wireless, but I don't think this would be an issue. I tried and tested them on my Netflix app for Windows8 and it's working just fine, leaving the problem to iTunes. Do anyone have this same problem? I'm pretty sure it's iTunes because I have to play/pause it all the time and I saw the issue as soon as I opened iTunes after the update. For what is worth, the other buttons as 'back', 'forward' and 'scroll' are working perfectly on my browser.

I don't know if this would help, but here are my configs: Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, AMD FX8350 4Ghz processor, Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB 1600Mhz RAM, Seagate 2TB Sata III HD, PNY GeForce GTX650 1GB Graphic Card, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.

iTunes Media Player, Windows 8, 64 bit

    Have you a solution ?

    Thank you

I'm afraid not. Perhaps you some third party tool that wants to take control?

Thank you ... Found something ...

    1°) Install Logitech setpoint

    2°) Set parameters and save

3°) Uninstall Setpoint (or disable at startup)

Settings of keyboard will be maintainded except special features of F-Buttons (on Windows 7) and all controls for iTunes work perfectlly

    Have a nice day

I confirm: you can restart iTunes and have media keys working OK but only until the moment when any of your devices start to sync with iTunes.

After that moment media keys are ignored until the next iTunes restart.

If you disable wifi sync on all your devices or just put them in airplane mode and restart iTunes - then media keys work fine.

So the problem is not with Setpoint software, it's iTunes. Mine is 12.3.3.17 version, still no luck.

I had this problem on Mac. Turns out the Google Music Chome extension was hijacking my media keys.

This worked for me with Windows 10, iTunes 12.5.1.21 and Logitech k360.

Very irritating problem, that keeps cropping up, EVRYTIME iTunes is updated!
