Q: apps won't sync to iphone after restoring from backup

From your post, I am understanding there are some apps you have in iTunes that don't seem to sync to your iPhone, though you are able to download these apps directly on the phone itself. Having a limited data plan myself, I understand not wanting to have to download them, so I'd like to offer some steps that may help!

If you're still having trouble syncing, try the following steps:
- Close iTunes and disconnect your iPhone from the computer. Restart your computer. After it has booted up, open iTunes and reconnect your device, then try syncing again.
- Reinstall iTunes.
To reinstall iTunes on a Mac, go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and click on the "Download now" button on the left side of the page. Then, install the download. This will replace the existing version of iTunes with a new copy.
