Why does my ipad2 crash repeatedly
There could be lots of reasons, not all of them hardware.
What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Have you done a forced restart (press and hold the Home and power buttons until the Apple appears then let go and allow to continue starting up)? Have you tried restoring from your back up? Have you tried restoring as new? I think this last step is going to tell you the most. If you restore as new and test without out adding any third party apps and the device doesn't crash, you'll know that it was something you installed. You'll then be faced with the annoying task of figuring out what. Sadly that's mostly trial and error.
