Q: strange wifi dropping issue

I have had an issue that plagues my 2016 updated Macbook as it pertains to wifi drops.

I thought it might have to do with the network but my phone and others laptop do not drop the signal, just mine.

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so, what the fix was?

When I turn wifi off and then back on, the signal comes right back and everything is great.  For about an hour or so...then it happens again.

Thank you

MacBook, iOS 9.3.2

    Hi,

    Could be corrupted network preferences.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click Go then move all the files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.

Then see if your Mac drops the Wi-Fi connection.

If it does, restart your internet modem and Wi-Fi router if you use one then restart your Mac to test.
