Apr 14, 2016 1:53 PM in response to gimme_cherryby Linc Davis,Both of the items in the second screenshot are malware files, but you may have issues not related to malware. That would be a subject for another thread.
You also installed the "malwarebytes" product, which failed to remove the malware. All such products are useless on a Mac. I suggest that you remove it according to the developer's instructions.

The major annoyance of this virus aside, it was fascinating to watch it create create ad-hock approximations of some of the main of sites I would normally visit, all of which were suddenly describing the benefits of chum search in quite a glowing way, or recommending a particular malware solution. It was like existing in a bizarre parallel internet world.
