Q: Use 21.5" iMAC as External Monitor for PC

I'm trying to use my iMAC 2.7 GHz I5 as an external monitor for my Win 7 PC. I connected MDP from PC to iMAC Firewire. I enter display mode by pressing T while booting the iMAC and it detects something in the Firewire port but the PC cannot detect any monitors.

What do I need to do?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Apple has made sure that Windows PCs can't use their iMacs as stand alone monitors. It has been said over and over and over that this will simply not work. Purchase another monitor for your PC. Apple has made using iMacs as separate monitors only available to other Macs, only.
