Q: Airplay gone from video

Why has the Airplay button gone from within videos, this makes it more convoluted. Also, some videos stop playing after a few seconds now. I have the latest Apple Tv, iPhone 6 plus, extremely fast internet running through Time capsule (which is less than 5 foot away). Is anyone else having problems with airplay'ing videos from iPhones? This happens on my wife as well.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)

    Hello retfordchris,

Thank you for being part of the Apple Community!

It is my understanding you are experiencing videos stopping when using Airplay to send to your Apple TV.  Most of what I watch is streamed so I understand wanting this to be seamless.

Since this is happening with both of your iPhones, locating what is causing the issue will be the first step.  I would suggest trying to stream from a different device, if possible, to test it out.  If the issue continues, restarting the Apple TV would be a good place to start.

Another step I would suggest would be to power off the modem/router for a minute, then plugging it back in.  This resets the router and can help solve a lot of connectivity issues.  This would be a good step even if other devices are working fine as routers treat each device separately.

    Have a great day!
