Q: wifi drops connection when ipad locked

I have noticed on the latest IOS (9.3.2) that my Ipad when locked the wifi connection is dropped yet my Iphone does not drop.

The wireless access point sees this as a unknown disconnection. I have tried resetting network settings but the ipad connected to the wifi again without asking for password. Forget network is also removed.

Anyone seen this before (only occurs on 1 SSID aswell)

iPad Air Wi-Fi, iOS 9.3.2

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that your iPad is disconnecting from your access point each time you press the Sleep/Wake button to lock the screen.
