Q: Email that crashes Mail when you click on it

I have an email in my junk folder that I cannot delete.  Every time I click on it, Mail crashes.   How can I get rid of it?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5)

If you position the cursor just inside the right edge of the window, it should change to a vertical bar with an arrow pointing left. Drag to the left. The response may be delayed for a few seconds. Keep dragging.
