    Hi, cutlercollin99!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, I understand you want to know if the controls on the Apple EarPods are compatible with your iPod model. I listen to music on the go all the time, and know those controls can be convenient! The article linked below should help answer that question.

Compatibility of Apple wired headset models with iPhone, iPad, and iPod models

Under the "iPod" section, there are four separate tables, each pertaining to a different model of Apple headset. Go to the table for the headset you have, and find your iPod model. A checkmark will be in a box for each supported feature. You'll also see if any other requirements, such as a specific operating system version, are necessary to support those features.

    Happy listening!

It was useful. But I know the buttons don't work. I'm asking if there is any way I can download a software that will make the iPod compatible with the Apple EarPods.
