Q: Apple Watch friends: can't keep my son in my Friends list

I'm using the latest Apple Watch OS. I have had difficulty keeping my son's name/entry in my Friends list.  It disappears from the list, regularly.  I even asked my son if he was blocking me  .  I must have replaced his name in the list upwards to 10 times.  I've added his name from Watch app/Friends.  I've added it directly from the Apple Watch/Favorite application.  Does anyone know why my entry of a person "will not stick" to the Friends list?  Anyone else having the same issue?

Apple Watch, watchOS 2.2.1

    Hi

    The following steps may help:

    • If you and your son are presently sharing an Apple ID:
    • On your iPhone, in the Contacts app:
      • Check that there is a single contact card for you and that it includes your name, Apple ID email address and phone number.
        • Remove any of your son's contact information that may appear in your contact card.
      • Check that a separate contact card exists for your son and that:
        • It includes his full name, mobile phone number, Apple ID email address and any other email addresses that he may use for Messages and/or email.
        • It does not include any of your own contact information.
    • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > in the Contacts section, check that My Info is using your contact card.
    • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Siri > My Info - check that your contact card is selected.
    • You may also wish to enable iCloud for Contacts:
      • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > iCloud - turn on Contacts.

    After making any changes:

    • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Reset > tap on Reset Sync Data.
      • Nothing will seem to happen, but the process will run in the background (invisibly to you), so allow a minute or so.

    • It may then also help to restart both your iPhone and your watch:
      • Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone before restarting your watch;
      • To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag the slider to turn off.
      • To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the logo.

    • You may need to add your son back to Friends on your watch.
