Jun 28, 2016 9:20 AM in response to spencer9287by alex7375,I Had a similar problem with my MacBook Pro ( MBP ) and hdmi adapter for TV. It tuned out the display port on my MBP had dust in it and was not making a good connection with the HDMI adapter. The solution was to clean out the MBP display port with a can of compressed air. Just turn off the MBP before you blow air into the display port.
I Used this display port to HDMI adapter.
( SaBrent display port to hdmi adapter 4K )

Jun 28, 2016 10:21 AM in response to alex7375by spencer9287,Thanks! Actually that didnt work, but using a differnt HDMI cable worked. I have another question though. Now that I have my macbook on my TV it will only let me do mirroring. How do i make it so its like using dual monitors??
