Q: Photos extension not functioning anymore...

After having used several Photos app extensions like Affinity Photo / DXO for Photos... the editing possibilities with these programs are not functioning anymore.

The repair procedure for Photos do nothing to solve the problems.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

    Is this a released Affinity Photo v1.4.2 (current), trialware, or Affinity Photo beta product?

     

    Have you posted your question in the Affinity Forum, and tried resolution there? That would represent the highest percentage of Affinity assistance, and other advanced users of the product that may have insight into the extensions that you are using. What repair procedure for Affinity Photo? We are not clairvoyant?

     

    In the above, state the version of Affinity Photo, and the versions of the extensions that have stopped working (are newer ones available?). What software did you install just prior to the change in the extension functionality? Work with the Affinity team to get this resolved, if possible.

    The Affinity photo editing extensions have not been working reliably from the beginning.

    You did not say, what is not working in your case, but I noticed, that the Affinity editing extensions will give an error message, if I try to edit a photo a second time.  The first time it is working well (as long as it is not a panoramic shot), but if I try to open a photo again for further edits, the photo editing extension will quit.
