    Hi

For the purpose of crediting the hourly Stand achievement, your watch aims to identify when you have stood up and moved around for at least one minute during that hour. Apple Watch uses an accelerometer to identify movement, so arm movement equivalent to changing from a seated to a standing position followed by a minute's walk around with your arms swinging naturally should help to register this.

The following steps may also help:

    • Check that Wrist Detection is still enabled:
      • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wrist Detection - turn this on.

    • Check that you are wearing your watch sufficiently snugly on the top of your wrist. If worn too loosely, your watch can incorrectly believe that it has been removed from your wrist, causing it to lock and stop tracking your activity:

    • It may help to calibrate your watch (instructions via the link below). Calibration enables your watch to more accurately estimate various fitness and activity-related results. It does this by teaching your watch how your arm moves when you are walking and/or running.

    • Activity estimations also depend on your personal information. To check that this has been entered accurately (and to update it over time):
      • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Health > Edit (upper-right).

The following steps may also help:

    • On your iPhone in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Wrist Detection - check that this is turned on.
    • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Privacy > Motion & Fitness - turn Fitness Tracking off (or turn it on, if it is currently turned off).
    • Restart both devices by turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
      • To turn your iPhone off: press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears; drag it to turn off. To restart, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.
      • To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off. To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
    • If you turned Fitness Tracking off in step 2, now return to the setting and re-enable it.
