Q: ios 8 on an iphone 4s

Need to download ios 8 on an old iphone 4sin order to run pandor app. Settings soft ware update says 7.1.2 is up to date. Assistance needed. Is there a way to force or manually download ios 8.

Phone is wiped clean - no contacts pics etc

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2

You have an iPhone 4 and not an iPhone 4s that's why you cannot update past iOS 7.1.2.
BTW, iOS 8 is not available anymore it's iOS 9.3.2 at present.

iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s (not plural) are two different models. iPhone 4s is newer than iPhone 4.
iPhone 4 cannot update past iOS 7.1.2 because of the hardware.
