To use Apple Pay on your watch, quickly double-press the side button. Your default card will be displayed. If you have added other cards and wish to use one of those instead, swipe to switch between cards. With your preferred card displayed, hold your watch up to the terminal:

    - The watch face should be facing and parallel with the terminal's own screen (you should not be able to see the watch face whilst paying), aligned centrally with the contactless logo on the terminal screen and held closer than 1 inch.

    - It should be held in that position for up to a few seconds, until you hear the confirmation beep and haptic pulse.

    Hi,

Restart your Apple Watch before you try to use Apple Pay again.

    1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
    3. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

It is not necessary to restart your watch.

Unless your watch has a hardware issue, your issue most likely relates to how the watch is being presented to the contactless reader.
