If you have forgotten the screen lock passcode there is really only one thing you can do - restore the device in iTunes - see If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

If you have a backup in iTunes or iCloud you can restore from that once you've reset the device.
