Q: No Facebook Desktop Notifications
Seen previous questions with the same subject with no clear answer. So I'm asking again.
OSX El Capitan 10.11.5
Mid 2015 15" MacBook Pro / 2.5GHz i7 / 512GB / 16 GB RAM
I am getting absolutely no notifications from facebook on my desktop. I am successfully logged in to my facebook account on my Internet Accounts Settings, I have it configured to show Banners on the Notifications Settings, and I can successfully share to my facebook account through the Share Menu.
I have tried logging in using my email address and using my phone number, and I have tried logging out of facebook, shutting the computer off, and then back on and logging in again, but still nothing.
I do get my facebook notifications on my iPhone with no problem, and I do get notifications for all other apps on my desktop with no problem. The problem is limited to just facebook on the desktop.
The problem suddenly appeared about 5 days ago, and hasn't resolved itself since.
That's all the info I have, I am grateful for any help.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), 2015

Hi there - I also have this problem, primarily the blank Facebook messages appearing in my Notification sidebar. I see I have a new message and the time it arrived but with no text. Interestingly, my issue started occurring approximately the same time yours did, and Facebook seems to be the only service affected. I wondered what changes were rolled out by Facebook this time...
Best to you!
