Apr 6, 2013 4:45 AM in response to miszczo99by Kenichi Watanabe,Are you in any way pressing and holding the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds, because that is how you "put the shuffle on hold"? Press and hold again to unlock the controls.

Apr 6, 2013 12:45 PM in response to miszczo99by Kenichi Watanabe,It seems like your shuffle thinks the Play/Pause button is being pressed, even when it is not.
You may want to do a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes. It is on the shuffle's Settings or Summary tab in iTunes (depending on model). This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If some software glitch is causing the problem, a Restore should fix it.
Otherwise, if it's a hardware problem with the button's internal connections (so it acts like it is being pressed), a Restore will not help. I can't tell which iPod you have from the software version, but if it's less than one year old, it is under warranty (two years with AppleCare).
