May 15, 2016 2:45 AM in response to StigBullby SarrahSoliman,I've almost tried everything.. to reset, to clean the speakers, to squeeze and to scroll.
I remembered that the last time I used the phone was last night and I was playing music on YouTube- connecting it to my loudspeakers-.
so I figured out that the problem is that the phone can't feel that I've disconnected the loudspeakers.
I put drops of my perfume on a tissue and I plugged the headphones - covering it by the tissue- into the entrance of the headphones.
after I unplugged it, the sounds suddenly came back!
I wish this will help you.

May 20, 2016 7:00 AM in response to Nubz N.by darenH123,I have discovered turning off the bluetooth and the sound works before coming to this thread. My question is, why does this keep happening.. The volume shows high and no sound until I turn off the bluetooth.. Nothing is connected to it. I use my bluetooth in my car but this is after the fact I am at work or out and about.. This is constantly happening...

May 21, 2016 12:01 AM in response to Nubz N.by ksunilmahto,it may be the bluetooth paired device, disable your BT and check if works and a restart required if doesn't works.

May 28, 2016 6:02 PM in response to ksunilmahtoby mbeckman03,I swiped up to bring up the hidden menu at the bottom. Went to airplay and clicked back to iPhone for sound. There were a few options and somehow it was stuck on a headset. Anyhow, this fixed my problem right away.
Hope this helps!

Jun 10, 2016 5:51 PM in response to marcibroby Simon_68,Push and hold power on/off button until you see message on the screen saying swipe to reset.
Wait 20 seconds or so and again push and hold on/off button until Apple symbol appears.
Once you phone has rebooted, all shoul be good again.
Its a common fix for lots of issues!!!

Jul 6, 2016 1:14 PM in response to g.aguilaby myurkus,I am embarrassed to admit this...I am a professional software engineer with experience dating back to the first iPhone. I just wasted almost an hour trying all sorts of settings and tests-i could not believe that I has the Volume (AND Ringer volume) set to high, with texts and calls clearly set to thing-i could even hear the ring in Settings. I also verified I could play music and my Bluetooth was turned off. I completely forgot that the little mute switch on the phone overrides all other sound settings! If you set it to Mute, there's nothing on the screen to remind you that you are on silent mode-calls, texts, reminders, and even keyboard clicks just don't play. I wish there was some indicator that you have that switch on Mute-but I should have realized this MUCH sooner-it is a switch on every phone in the market going back to the 90s!!! Thank you for the reminder! At first I thought this was a cynical "are you sure your computer is plugged in" response; forgetting that many people [including myself] *are* dumb enough to "have the computer unplugged" from time to time...

Aug 9, 2016 10:43 AM in response to marcibroby Psb90732,I Had this problem too. It gradually got worse until I could barely hear! I figured I had nothing to lose so I took a tiny brush and tried to clean the speaker....nothing. So I used a toothpick and gently scraped it and lots of gunk came off! Now, it is as loud as it was when I got it. Think about the sweat, dirt, makeup, sunscreen and other things that get on our skin getting in there. Worked for me!

Aug 30, 2016 11:25 PM in response to marcibroby shekar333,I have the same problem too. Then I stuck a small sewing needle in the headphone port and it zapped the screen to the Spotify site and POOF! sound restored. I really think the needle/metal in the port was the trick because immediately the screen came up and I checked and it was fixed. I was a little scared to do this but was desperate. YAY!
