Thank you for coming to the Apple Support Community to ask about the main speaker no longer working on your iPhone after updating to iOS 9.3.2. I rely on auditory notifications on my iPhone too. Let's resolve this together. This article refers to the very issue you're talking about:
If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
If that doesn't bring back the audio to the speakers, let's back up your iPhone before continuing troubleshooting.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Now that the iPhone is backed up, let's do a complete erase and factory restore. Keep in mind that you're not going to bring back your backup just yet. I want to test and see if this is software or hardware causing this issue.
Erase all content and settings on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch
If the speaker works now, we can test to see if it's something in the backup by restoring it.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
If the speaker still doesn't work, then it's hardware and requires service.
If the speaker stops working, we know it's related to the backup.
Hope you have a great day!
