You can add basic text in Preview. Otherwise, there are many specialized apps just for this purpose. Search on the Mac App Store.

have several trip photos. the title appears at top on Mac but not on TV. Therefor want add a Text box or Cation field to each photo.
Have tried app call photo name, which so far is not very good. Looking for better solution please help.

This would not be available natively on Apple TV. You would need to search the app store to see what best suits your needs.
