Q: iPod Classic Restore Problems

Hi there.

I went to add new music to my iPod Classic 160GB. I connected it via USB/30Pin.

When I connected iTunes said the device was corrupt, even though the music was fine. I couldn't add anything without restoring it, so I did and let it go through the restore process.

When I did it, Windows10 then said "you need to format the drive." So I did. I tried it as NTFS and exFAT.

Itunes then gives me the "appears to be corrupted" error. I click restore, I get the message that it is restoring, then the "your ipod has been restored to factory settings" message. I click ok, and the ipod reboots. I then get a message saying I need to format the drive and a corrupted message.

Weird things: 1. I can format and restore fine on a MacBook (but my music library isn't on it). I can also get it to work on a Surface, but when I plug it in to my PC with my library, I get that error again.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes 12.4.1.6. I'm running Windows 10 build 14366 (insider preview).

Any other thoughts or suggestions? I really don't think the drive is corrupte
